PLD: Pulsed Laser Deposition
Recently, PLD has emerged as a vital experimental tool for both research and education particularly in materials science due to its unique performance, versatility, and success in synthesis of advanced materials and development of cutting-edge technology. The PLD is used to prepare high quality thin films of high Tc oxides, ferroelectrics, high dielectrics, semiconductors, polymers, metals, and alloys for applications in electronic, magnetic and optical devices.
When not in use by faculty or students, it can be reserved for use. The PLD is available to rent per hour. Please contact the department for scheduling.
