Astronomy and Astrophysics Minor
Interested in stargazing while pursuing another major?
Then consider our minor! Our astronomy and astrophysics minor gives students who are
not majoring in our department the opportunity to pursue an interest in astronomy,
as well as access our state-of-the-art facilities. This minor program matches well
with a major in mathematics.

- AST 113(3) or 114(4) or 115(4); AST 311(3).
- Two courses from: AST 313(3), 315(3), 317(3).
- Additional physics or astronomy courses to total at least 18 hours with no more than
10 hours of courses numbered below 300. Recommended electives: AST 110(1) if AST 113(3) or 114(4) was taken; PHY 123(4), 124(4), 386(1), 486(1).
