Admission Requirements
Becoming a physics major
The physics, astronomy and materials science department at Missouri State accepts and encourages all students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in physics. Be sure to meet with an advisor before changing your major to discuss the course work you will need to graduate.
Our department has no specific admission requirements, so any student who wishes to become a major in our department can declare physics as their major by:
- Completing a Change of Curriculum-Advisement form available at the Academic Advising and Transfer Center, University Hall 109
- Bringing the completed form to the office of the physics, astronomy and materials science department, Kemper Hall 101, to be assigned an advisor
