Want to pursue a bachelor's degree in physics? Follow the steps below to get started.
Your first steps: Declare your major
There are no formal admission requirements for the physics major. Just be admitted
to Missouri State and declare your major.
- Become a Bear: Apply to Missouri State. (If you’re not already a current student.)
- Before completing 60 credit hours, contact the Academic Advising and Transfer Center to declare or change your major to physics.
After you declare: Choose your degree and complete the program requirements
A comprehensive Bachelor of Science (BS) in physics let's you choose an option area and does not require a minor or second major.
Your option areas are:
- Astronomy and Astrophysics
- Career Prep Physics
- Materials Physics
- Quantum Computing
