RAMAN Spectrometer

Raman spectroscopy is a spectroscopic technique based on inelastic scattering of monochromatic light, usually from a laser source. This technique is used to study solid, liquid, and gaseous samples. Raman spectroscopy provides direct information on the vibrational characteristics of the sample.

When not in use by faculty or students, it can be reserved for use. The spectrometer is available to rent per hour. Please contact the department for scheduling.
