Research
I use telescopes and CCD cameras at Baker Observatory to measure brightness of Cepheid variable stars in order to learn more about their physical properties. I am a faculty adviser in the NASA Missouri Space Grant Consortium. NASA interns are paid to assist me with my research.

Variability of Yellow Supergiant Stars.
Service
In addition to committee work, I am the Faculty Advisor for the Ozarks Amateur Astronomers Club.
NASA Observing Night
Each semester, a public night is held at Baker Observatory to allow viewing through the telescopes there.
