I teach introductory and intermediate-level physics and astronomy courses.
PHY 101- Physics By Inquiry
PHY 220 - Digital Electronics
My research is focused in two areas: Physics education and computational non-linear dynamics (chaos theory).
Analysis of techniques for teaching direct-current circuits (physics education)
Erosion of stable basins of attraction (chaos)
In addition to serving on a number of department, college, and university committees, I am the faculty adviser for Sigma Pi Sigma (physics honor society).
I enjoy reading, classical music, and eating gelato in the shadow of the Palazzo Vecchio di Firenze. I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do (WTF style) and am the current department record-holder for the number of miles bicycled in one calendar month: 1125 miles (July 2004).
